The World Against Animal Abuse.

This, I think is my third post about animal cruelty. I hope, with all my heart, that my words are read with empathy for love of animals, our dear beloved we call 'friend'.

This goes for our cats that greet us at the doorstep.

This goes for our hamsters that never failed to make us feel joy watching them cuddle in our palms.

This goes for those loyal dogs that never ceased to come when we're in need.

This goes for the rabbits we let our children play with.

This goes for the tigers we are awe-amazed at for its majestic being.

This goes for all animals in the world.
***

Warning: Photos follow, I have restricted myself not to put photos that are too disturbing. However I hope these ones could open our hearts to how much our help is needed to save abused animals.

I see truth in SPCA Selangor's belief that animal abuse might lead to other acts of violence such as domestic violence or child abuse, if not seriously dealt with. In simpler tone, it is possible to do violence to human if they can do the same to animals and are let away without justification.

The present act against animal abuse needs some good reconsideration if we are serious in stopping the crime. Yes, I say it's a crime. Because basically everything that is alive has a right on it's own life-so the way threats or murder is considered a crime to humans and therefore require legislative acts to justify the case, whatever acts of threats or killings to animals too, should be considered a crime and brought before the court. Don't talk about fines. You can't pay for a life. It's time that we take imprisonment into consideration to deliver a loud, bold message to the society that we care about lives of humans, animals and the sustainability of Mother Earth's resources.

What are going to become of our society if we don't offer a hand in assistance? We don't want to grow a society sick with psychological problems. I am getting sick of watching ladies use their high heels to smash a kitty's skeleton. As if wearing heels has not hurt their bones enough. No offence if you wear high heels and are reading this. Go on. I don't have a problem with women who wear high heels. I have a problem with those who wear it as a weapon against harmless creatures. It sickens.

Kittens tortured and shot to death. What could mom do? You would say it is inhuman if done on humans. What about animals? Who can stop this cruelty if not us ourselves?

There are inexcusably multitudes of ways to find pleasure, the positive ways. Go travel, or drive, or play sports, whatever. But certainly hurting animals isn't one of a bright outlet, I don't see how it can relate to better health development, improved blood circulation or any sort of a bonus point to life. Neither do I know that animal abusers get money falling from the skies with each cat or dog or monkey or tiger they kill. So if there's no good point in doing harm to these helpless animals, why on Earth do they do it for, then?

If you're not an animal abuser, I beg you not to read this, feel angry, get over it and then forget. This, soon, could affect mankind-that is you included-if you don't show that you're serious in helping out the committed, noble teams in SPCA, WWF, PAWS and more other NGO's fighting for those animals in desperate need for kind help.

Show that you care. Support them. Help them make a change in our society. Help them to help the helpless. If you want to be a hero, you don't need all those nicknames. All you need is a heart of steel, love, and passion for doing others good.

Sign the petition, have your say and make our voice louder. It doesn't matter if you're a Malaysian or an Australian or whatever country you'e in. Wherever you are, this is us against animal abuse. Forget nationality.

You can also blog about animal cruelty, touch hearts, and raise awareness. Please don't remain silent. For every second you delay, another innocent life might have already be gone. Your voice really mean a lot.

Thank you sweetheart. May He bless and help us all in our cause.

Sadness goes away when you feed ducks chips. Really?

Assalamualaikum.

Habis dah merajuk dan sentap.

I thought of going to the city but considering the fact that

I AM ALMOST broke,

I went to the university fountain instead. Yes alone. And I watched ducks. Haha. This, the university fountain, is where students spend afternoons having lunch or just laying around while the birds steal their meals. Hee, cheeky fellows! I had some chips in my bag, thought to have them while I sit around. But there were too many ducks and in the pond there were a couple of white ducks swimming.

They saw me. I saw them.

Our eyes met. :p

You know what's next.

I took out the chips and started to offer one to the ducks. (Masa kecik dulu pernah kena sudu dengan angsa. Takut jugak kena sudu dengan itik pulak) They swam nearer and took it off my hand. Erk. Itik makan kentang goreng Oporto jugak ye? Then it started to feel fun. Another. And another. The ducks came out of the pond as I searched the paper bag for more chips.

There, tak takut orang, those ducks! I was the one who kept walking backwards afraid that they'd go "give me that chips! All of 'em, hurry!" and bite my feet. Ah, seluar jeans, won't hurt even if they do, I thought.

I kept feeding them and wanted to pat them on the head. It looked at my hand whenever I tried to pat its head. Aish. So I didn't get to. Biarlah.

Hai-want-more! Gimme. Y U NO BRING MORE CHIPS?! Y U LOOK ME LIKE THAT?!

There were birds too-too many of them. This place is already like a birds' park. Well at least I got some time to relax. I went out of chips and the ducks went back into the pond once they're done inspecting me up and down for more foods. -_-'

Food snatch! Omnomnomnom!
I sat by the pond-no-lake,whatever-and watched ducks fly down from nowhere right into the water. And a baby duck learning to feed on its own with its parents. Dad's in front, Mom behind it, careful so I wouldn't get too close and steal their baby. Who would, it's yours. :)

Felt good. Then I laid on my back to watch the skies. It's been a while since the last time I did.

Wonderful isn't it. It was almost dusk that time. I realised that I was the only one laying on my own. People had already started to leave. I found my bag (the ducks weren't in it searching for chips luckily) and left for home.

A simple entry huh. I-went-to-the-lake-and-fed-ducks. Nope. I just want you to know a few things.

  1. I'm back from last night's disappointment. Better today. Come what may tomorrow onwards, that'sanotherstoryaltogetherwhocares. I'm at the age up for any challenge.
  2. Allah made this land and everything in it for us to love and care for. Imagine if the world's only made up of air, water and soil. Where's the beauty to appreciate?
  3. Love does not come from humans only. I love animals. They love me. We live in content. Haha! -foreveralone- No, my point is if you can't get anybody to tell about how bad your day has been, find something else to do, whatever that consoles you best. If you love animals, then find a cat or anything and pet them. It helps to sooth you.
  4. Problems come and go. All we need to do is find a good outlet to release it. Don't let it out on people around you. Pity them, do you not think that they have their own issues too? So care for one another. If you're feeling down, go fix yourself up and come back for good. Don't lose the respect others have for you for acting insensibly.
  5. I am not committing to any relationship with someone who hardly knows me, full stop. Please don't say "hai boleh berkenalannnn ting ting ting!" And act cute or blast at me when my internet connection goes off as if you and I are-whatever. Forgive me but I please not just anybody for no reasons. Help me with my assignment rather than asking me such questions while I'm busy doing my assignments. That doesn't impress anybody, obviously. If you're not my best friend in happiness and sorrow you and I will never make it. I believe that lovers are first and foremost, friends who are responsible enough to keep one another up come rain or storm. How can you be a good partner if you can't even care for a friend? Let alone if you have no idea who I am. So-be a good friend first then love comes to those who deserve it. When the time is right. Cool? Yeah? Splendid. :) So be a good friend and practice caring for friends first. You'll be a refined person in time, that's when you're ready to go.
  6. I forgot what's for number 6. Uh... Oh yes now I remember. Let's put that in a new paragraph yeah?

I signed a pledge on WWF Malaysia's website. Tak, bukan gusti tu. This is a pledge for you to live green. What does it mean to live green by the way? Well it basically means to me, that you take little steps to care for your environment by not supporting the consumption of endangered wildlife-based products thus maintaining sustainable marine and forest ecosystem which in return guards safe our own source of foods and freshwater. Simple no? And also to use electricity considerably to save energy. It's that's easy. All I had to do is to click WWF Malaysia's LIVE GREEN PLEDGES, fill in some simple details and get access to download banners to put here on my blog! The banners look good on your blogs I assure, look at the right side of your screen, there it is on my side bar-just right up my formspring widget.

Looks good no? Not only that, it makes you a proud supporter of Earth too! :)

Come on and spread the message for WWF Malaysia! I'm a supporter, come together!

p/s: I'm sorry for yesterday's entry. You take care sweethearts. Byes. :)

Animal Violence: Why Don't You Make a Change?

Salam. Andddd, pardon me for my absence. I know that's bad. Been busy packing but I miss you.

Weeks ago I saw a video on Fb. It was a recording of a cat being burned.

I typed it right. BURNED.

The cat was alive when the cruelty took place. I'm writing this down because I want to make myself clear, and I want to share my anxiety with the world. None of us should be in favour of cruelty towards animals.

Out of the zillions of world population, I do not know why on Earth does this act becomes an interest to some of  us, so called humans, obviously known to be the only sophisticated species out of all other species living which posses the ability to reason out their acts. But this particular act reserves not a single relevant motive other than personal pleasure.

The act of animal violence is not limited to a people outside Malaysia, as seen in the clip. The Malaysian Insider reported a case in Malaysia which got the government's head turning on the issue. In this video, a man repeatedly hit a puppy while ordering it to stand on its hind legs.

"Mentally-unstable or willfully-cruel people get away with cruelty to animals and are indirectly encouraged to continue when authorities are lax in enforcing animal cruelty laws. Filming it and causing a reaction makes them feel confident and glorified. These are the hidden monsters that start with animals and then continue on to children, women and society in general. They must be stopped and brought to justice swiftly. The authorities must send a very strong message---that cruelty to animals is a crime. "

-SPCA Selangor, Malaysia from its official web.

The movement had it well said. The issue of violence itself covers a wide scope of perspective. The issue of animal cruelty is not a petty matter unworthy of the public's attention. Our notion today determines what the world is going to be like tomorrow, for all its inhabitants. Our disregard means encouragement for the criminals and by any means-trust this-it might come to the stage when the crime is unstoppable, affecting not only house pets but the local community as it the criminal gets bolder and braver.

So mates, why don't WE make a change? :)

Spread the love, show that you care. Check out SPCA and WWF Malaysia. There might be more I'm yet to discover and if you find something new or feel this issue urgent,(it is) do spread the message around and share some with me too. Being a volunteer doesn't necessarily mean that you have to register. However if you find it convenient to pay weekend visits to SPCA and help, find out about how you might help-there's a lot you can do-even photographing-if it's one of your interests. Looks fun! And I hope that I'll be in the force as soon as I finish my studies. It's a good deed everyone should do in the name of humanity, and biggest of all, it's what our religion suggests; regardless if you're a Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or a Hindu. Humanity is not limited to religion, race, and even species.

Take care, salam. :)

p/s: look to the right side of the screen, on my sidebar. See the banner? You can have that banner and show your support too. Clickky. Free of course, and one kind help from, even as simple as putting up a banner on your website could light up the dark. I believe so. :)
