-Romeo and Juliet
Salam.
Meet my dear,oops,dears-

Putih and Tompok,as I call them. I know, the names are very common for domestic felines, those days widely used, and now better still! (For these homeless two.)
And this post does not worth posting, with me typing and giving my spine a full stretch after a midnight drive from 12 till 2 in the morning down from Ulu Bernam without a reason...
I miss the kitties.
So it would be a great pleasure to pay some sense of love even from far, with this whole story about the kiddos.
The two are siblings,Tompok an energetic Tabby while Putih a more tender, calm Tom. Most of the times I feel that their characteristics never suit themselves. The world is always upside down to me,when they are around.
I do take their photos whenever I feel up to it-and that's when they give rare pose. Rare here means, attractive. Take this for an example.
Don't they look like..well what do you have in mind? I say it's a yin and yang,if Tompok's fur was black in colour.

This was taken around 9 pm,they were sleeping soundly at the utmost center of our hostel block, which is the badminton court. (Also the instant meeting place for the Cohort 2 girls.)
One day I came back from lecture and caught a sight of Putih getting itself sun-tanned,perhaps. I scratched its cheeks to discover that it was bleeding. Yikes! Amy who happened to pass by told that Ms TQ saw it scratching its lower jaw when it suddenly 'popped' to bleed. So until today,no one knows for sure whether it was a result of a fight or an infection common to unowned cats like Putih. But I sure did not like what happened, and so did my friends. So one after another,we applied medication to Putih-
and Putih certainly did not make it easy for us.
I did not know about my friends but as for myself, there was one night when I tried to drop antibacterial liquid on the kitten when it made me feel like a real nurse dealing with children. I had to put it still to the floor, lightly but firm enough so it would not escape with the medication dripping all the way to waste. As I made the attempt,Putih gave a growl of fright and shook beneath my palm. Once it was over,Putih was relieved again before it took a leap away. Well that's okay,at least the job's done!
Next two days were more or less the same, always with Putih making efforts to escape and ended up caught by the shoulder. Haha!
As for my friend Azie, she applied minyak gamat-which was good,indeed,-on Putih's wound when Tompok which was sitting near observing curiously, demanded for a sniff or two. When allowed,Tompok jumped about in circle, frenzy. I was looking across the court from my room and laughed seeing it. I do not have a better explanation for its curiousity instead of...
It's just the way it is.
Azie gave nothing but giggles and a spontaneous comment...
"Terlompat-lompat mcm apa ntah!"

When I first moved into Pala the cats had a weird habit. It was rain season and it rained frequently at night. I woke up one morning to discover a kitty sleeping in my closet.
On the morning of my examination,Wani my neighbour stopped in front of my door.
"Hystrix..I rase die muntah atas kasut you."
Almost gave me a heart attack. I had no other shoes, and I had to wear a pair of heels I hardly wear but for special events! I do not like wearing high heels,no-no.
Days passed and it was then time to head home. I woke up and didn't sleep after the Subuh prayers, most motivated than the other days (my bus at 3.30 pm that evening) to finish putting my stuffs in the store-we were instructed to do so since next semester a new block will be welcoming our return to the campus. Routine to me,I headed for the water cooler for a cup of drink. And to my surprise....
There was not only the steel structure but something fluffy on the sink.

Tompok has found a new spot to sleep, and it's the freakin' sink! (If I was cheeky,I would have just pulled up the blue tap and give it a cold morning shower, mesti best!)

Sensitive as any other cats are,Tompok rose to the sound of me dragging my slipar jepun.
It never failed to give a cute look to just anybody gazing,in fact both Tompok and Putih are that way. The kitty gave me a sniff near my nose-it is the language animals use to communicate among themselves and it means: I know you!
-Yup,I know you too!
Well I guess about two months will give Tompok and Putih quite a challenge to hunt for food on their own, since we have been feeding them all the while,Shap with her Frieskies,me with sausage bits and bread, and other friends with whatever they have, even rice.
Be good you both,I can't wait to see you again when I get back, you must have grown bigger! I feel like taking you home but cats are not allowed on public transports, you know that don't you?
