Labour + cash! What..?

Ok, no quote today. Let me just jump straight into the business! <--- That's the quote. Hehe.

Salam!

Just now, I was eating kuaci. Koci, I called it. No, no that kuih koci, it's just the way I like to pronounce sunflower seeds in Malay.

You know how I won't spend even a second imagining how much I hate getting rid of its skins. I don't think it's called shell. Skin? The, the...kulit. Haha! (Really, what is it called? I have to use a science term for it? Hey, don't laugh la! Pathetic,me. -_-')

So a thought crossed my mind;

If I were to pay someone, (or something) to get rid of the skin for me, who (or what) would it be?

...

A
hamster, for goodness sake! It makes just a perfect choice!

.
..
...
....
...
..
.

But, what would I pay it with in return? Sure not bucks, they don't shop for groceries or go to malls, do they?

.
..
...
....
...
..
.

The
kuaci they were working on?

Owh, right then. I could give you corns instead, but I don't think I'll get my kuacis back either,

What's with the face, little? Doesn't work with me! Hahah!

Note: 'tis my shortest post ever! ;D

Hey there, you seem bored of nothing to do...(jeles lebe) Could you use your tongue to help flip my Human Development research article pages for me? Please...? Jangan le jual mahal... :) Thanks, that's very kind of you!

The Dawn of a New Cliche.

I walked, and skipped, under the layers of skies. I dissolved into the dawn, to watch the moon sleep sweetly guarded by the stars, and the Sun rising brightly, and I dreamed of old cliches that came new, to find my fingers dripping inks in a tube all over a paper and another.

Salam.

14th February 2010

What's that for..? No idea! But definitely no V-day,no no.

So I have walked this far for twenty years, and gripped a child of my mind for a year. That is my pulse, my precious, my dear, my diary. Happy first anniversary, ~luna-stella~.

Following the 100th post: Live on, luna.

I dedicate this post to those who had contributed to the rise of a soul in the house. This day, a year ago, I entered the world of bloggers with a huge interest of writing, which soon became an overwhelming obsession.

How it came about.

At first it was just a feeling that I want to create one by then it was hosted by Friendster. Parents were happy that I had set up a blog.
In the same time, a friend whom I was just in the beginning to get familiar with started to blog, that was somewhere in January. Asked me if I was interested in blogging and I said, I'm yet ready to blog, but I do have one as a training ground. Blogging needed a training ground? I don't know, but I needed it. 'Cause I'm a beginner, a new kid on the block!

My blog pal was one of my bestfriends, a member of F1 Gang, Kimio Toxica. About a month later, I was ready to fly. That night around 8.00 pm, I decided that it was time. So I set up a blogger account, logged in, found several names for the newborn, chose one and sorted through several lines I created in my mind for its url. Then I phoned my mother, (excited, I was) and told her I wanted '
underskylayer' to be my url. I loved it. It meant 'Earth and everything that could possibly happen, or specifically revolve around me'. And I still love it. What, you noticed something? Yeah, it's no longer underskylayer now. I changed it. Wait, wait, I'll go in sequence, okay?

So that night, as usual, went down with dear Compaq to dine with friends, and found anak pak man there too. I sat, flipped my laptop lid open, and in a few minutes left it displaying some web pages I was browsing through. I was SMSing a best friend down in Skudai, telling him that he's the first among my friends to know that

"I just created a blog! Would you spend some time to see it later?" to hear my pal shouting
"HANG DAH ADA BLOG X BAGITAW AKU!" with a grin as wide as a slice of watermelon. Hahaw.

Goodness, I haven't sent the SMS yet, and now that he knew, my friend wouldn't be the first to know, when I WANT him to be the first to know. Nevermind, I didn't have the time to edit the SMS. Message delivered.

"I'm busy, you know." was his strict reply. He's always busy, and I know just too well to mess. I replied "okay" or some sort of similar reply, and uttered a silent "
Humph...malas kawan!"

The fellow beside me was still grinning. I turned, and said yes, I have a blog, I just made it before I came down, I wanted to tell you later,

And that's all I remember. That happened a year ago...c'mon pal!

The Dawn of a New Cliche.

Okay. The part where I changed underskylayer to what it is now, 'thedawnofanewcliche'. Over half a year, I wondered if the words
under, sky and layer were arranged in a correct order to form a grammatically correct sentence. I murmured the words, and murmured again, to find them sounding weirder each time. Then I decided, underskylayer must make way for a new line to hang over the address bar. Then came 'thedawnofanewcliche'. Yeah, it can't be any longer, huh?

I guess so, too. :D

Growing up a blogger.

I might be 19 when I jumped into the boat, but I may be a year old when I start the engine. There are many aspects to take note about and to always be sensitive towards my surrounding. Here in this blogsphere, the world is even bigger. And you can bump into anyone in the morning and become friends, or make enemies. That depends on the way I carry myself. Several, no, many, have been learned in this one whole year of blogging. I've came across circumstances where justification is badly needed, and where tolerance is air. Where modesty is law, and so forth. I learned a lot.

From my parents. From my blogmates, from seniors and more.

And it's only left now to always practise what heave been learned. And us human, we make mistakes-that's the key to remember. What then? Learn from it to grow into a better person.

Appreciation.

Here I carve words of appreciation to all of my dearest supporters, who helped me to find the beauty in keeping a public diary, who provided me with guidelines and who had been walking all along by my side.

First, my dear parents. Friends follow!

F1 Gang (JESS), Rai (JESS), Leeza (KMPk), JEM (KMPk), anak pak man (IPG), Wida (IPG), Chris (IPG), Ms. TQ (IPG), Pidi (IPG), Pencari Sejati (IPG), Thoyba Mursyidah (IPG)

and everyone that dropped by, everyone that had ever left a say (even once, you made my day) and my ever loyal silent follower. I know you're there, I can see you though you don't even make a squeak! (You left some prints, ya know?) Thanks, I'm very glad that you are around...you're a blanket that protects me from the cold. :) Last but never the least, Igniz and Max J. Potter.

Everyone, including those not mentioned, I beg for your forgiveness but you're near, always. How I'd like to have another walk with you around the place. Here,

For you! <3
Let the second year uncover more grace and useful lessons of life. May He guide me in my steps, always.

And since ~luna-stella~ has brothers and sisters around her age, it'd be good to wish 'em happy 1st anniversary too, right? Happy 1st anniversary, brothers and sisters!

Now that's a real stock for a year... Or you can finish it faster? XD

So time now is 00:49 and it's time to....

SLEEP..!

Hey there. Give your eyes some rest.

Have a terrific holiday and to Chinese pals, Happy Lunar New Year! Did I say that right? Hope so, :D

100th in Succession.

And when I escape the dream, I know that you're nothing more than a shadow of the past-that's hardly erased.
-Phyto Hystrix
Salam.

This, I hope, will be one special entry. It's the 100th, and the figure does not come bare, least appealing among all. And appealing does not depend on the number of comments, anyhow. Point of views must be shifted.

Nothing changed ever since, if any, not much. Only reinforced. I still like the colour black.

After numerous of year-start-posts on leisure, I think it's time to get a little thinking going on. I mean little reviews based on my reflection of the past year 2009, and the current happenings. I will try my best to write a moderate, honest comment on my surrounding. However, pardon me if any of my feelings contradicts yours. I would welcome your view with open hands, as warm as it could be, most sincerely. I assure you, I would. Do feel free to share.

1. Living in Kuala Lumpur.

'Twas during my trips to Kuala Lumpur with some dear friends Mys TQ, her sister Shida, and Hannah Aini; and with my parents that I realised one grace of the city, in addition to its fame and neon lights from the peaks of the twin tower that brighten up the night sky always, even if the moon does not show.

The life in it. People living. Driving. Working. Talking. Enjoying. And suffering.

Yes, there are those who suffer in the heart of the cosmopolitan city. We think that it glimmered everyone, put each of the dwellers in the limelight for being able to start a living in it, where the cost of living would be a prominent subject matter. Typing letters on the computer in an air conditioned paperless office, and joyfully sipping tea overlooking KLCC at night on a condo veranda...

Just, perfect. A little bit of this and that which fits and fills every part of us. Isn't it?

Well I saw an elderly crawling on the pavements near the LRT station, begging for coins that may not even worth the heat and the body, the dust that flew into his throat to make him cough. But no one stopped, and he continued to drag himself on the ground with a plastic container in his right hand.

And elegant black cruisers continued to rule the roads, while the dusts on the roads continued to kill the man's breath slowly and steadily.

Life is wonderful, isn't it? For us. How is it like for others you might never even bump into? Underneath the moon, the stars and the spotlights that beam the skies, is there anything more to be seen? What's there in dimly lit wooden houses along the borders around the city? There any? Well I am not sure. I think I saw some. Yes I did. Do you drive? Have you seen such sights? Does the air conditioner soothes your forehead? Do we feel the heat that he feels?

And despite them whose lives are already sufferings, there are, those others that put on the masks to damn themselves despite their ability to work. They put those really in need at the end of a cliff. Regardless of it all, I salute the blinds who play songs to entertain the pedestrians passing by even if the amount they get can't compare to their sweats, and I salute those who draw using toes and mouths, for a LIVING.

2. Life's play.

Yesterday noon the heat burned up my skin as I sat holding up the camera to record my friends' manifesto for the coming campus election. That was Waniey's request. From my observation, each of the candidates competing for different posts in the Students' Committee holds qualities of a leader. True. Whether it is obvious from their speech, or yet to be unleashed. Everyone does. But one caught my attention most.

"Undilah orang yang boleh bekerja, bukan hanya boleh berkempen."

Enough said. And he walked off leaving most of the fan flippers silent, more of the sitters standing up to shout words of compliments. Among those candidates who sat and looked at us with heads held up, there are some whom I know well. Or less, now that it depends on you (the candidates) now to unveil the sides of yourselves, and which of it you would prefer me to see, and believe you to really be. Not only me, but us. You've pleaded.

My best wishes for all of the candidates, may this competition open up a new perspective to you and offer a whole new world to learn and benefit from. And most of all, may this chance given for you to serve be a blessing from Him. Best of luck, insyaAllah.

3. Opinions and says, fast and slow.

We often have formal and informal debates and opinion givings during lectures. In the middle of voicing out my opinion, I at times fell silent mainly for two common reasons-one: I lost my words due to evident lack of vocabulary. Two: only then did I think of what I was saying. Oh dear. How we can be ignorant most of the times until we say it out loud ourselves.

Studying in an institute with the vision of becoming a qualified teacher makes me wonder if I have what it takes to be a teacher. That is certainly not a scroll, only. But the guts, the patience, and the humbleness of carrying the burden on your shoulder. And not to be proud for it, because everyone contributes in the development of a child in becoming somebody. Teachers may be engineers of man, but don't we forget the parents. They brought the child up before they send these boys and girls to school. So there is a significant, urging need for teachers to work hand in hand with parents, and to respect each other for both hold equal responsibilities in raising and occupying a child with every needs, be it basic and complex- emotionally, and physically. Both parents and teachers contribute as much.

If this is done, moulding a man into a person of unsurpassed attribute would be easily achievable.

4. Rapidly catching flames.

Here I mean music. Or any current-ruling cultures that had caught teenagers at a rapid motion. We listen to songs sung by the kings and queens of all genres on the radio and zap! We're caught. But wait. Who is the new techno-disco queen by the way? What do we get, from humming her tunes 24-7?

I am not against modern music, I am, too, a teenager and is familiar with some of the songs that may seem indecent if reconsidered, lyric-wise. Pal, it's on air. Who wouldn't be? Upon coming to my senses, I speak with the hope that this will change. I have started to abandon what I do not need in my luggage, and is still working on it, may He protect us all before it's too late. I know, the good side of it is that we learn English language, but the nasty side of it is that we don't acquire the language alone. There are messages behind each and every word that we get all along. Go read between the lines and do not hesitate to tell me if I'm wrong.

I won't mind getting engaged to a singer or a band of which the songs are easy to the ears, but I do mind if the lyrics make little sense or no sense at all. Because I do understand the language, and I have least reasons to disregard what is being sung into my ears. I reject artists who sing songs meant to ruin our good qualities inside, because I am sure that you are aware-that the motive is clear that there are hidden agendas behind the trends that they set. Allow me to highlight some examples.

There are songs that promote bisexuality, homosexuality, hatred, suicide, acts of crime and everything else- you name it. We sing the songs. We know the lyrics. We know it by ear, or if not, we put in some effort to surf for it. And you know,

I find it worthless of my time to do a research on what they have in store through their songs.

The only time I have now is to say, that we would surely be caught on fire sooner or later, if we get too obsessed singing the songs and pretending not to know what it does even mean. (When the fact is that, we do understand.) Decide, decide. I would suggest you to go online for 'Illuminati', 'Antichrist' and 'Freemason' instead. Then discover what we have been living with all the while. And yes, that includes music. But the world's at no end, yet. It only is when we stop walking; that everything will come to an end. That's when we give up our hopes for a change. There's still light at the end of the tunnel, if we choose to turn away from the deceptions, the disguises, and move towards it.

I taught you tempe, you gave me sushi.

Ikan kering???

Meat? *shook*

Can it be...sushi?

Yeah, sushi!

Salam.

Another Saturday, and we let our hearts make our minds up and our feet carry our outlines, out of the gate with crouching warnings of coming rain. Hey, it has been almost three weeks of near-drought here on the island, and in my twitter I posted that the Sun blessed Penang with a bit more heat compared to other territories across the country. I have to not to mind being sun-tanned. I am, 60%.

Lucky that I brought my umbrella.

In 10 minutes we were sitting on the twin metal bars of the bus stop, enjoying the breeze and the drowsiness of waiting for a Rapid to stop and give us a lift all the way to QB. Three weeks peeked inside our rooms, said hi, and gave us a full load of sack with seeds to plant. I mean full load of assignments to start running with. And driving with. Yeah, fieldwork. I love it.

But nights of staying up and sleeping late turned me more and more panda day by day, so we thought that it'd be good to give ourselves some treat for the indisputable commitment in getting the jobs running. So without any scent of allowance in our accounts and plenty of coins (for the bus ride), we turned our heads to the mall, where we can have some exercises for the feet as well as the eyes, but not the hands. Mind me.

The ride was so comfortable these girls fell asleep. Pelangi Malam and Nadia, from left.

Okay, so I got them captured and we reached QB. I was hungry, told Wida.

"Nak x ak ajaq hang mkn sushi?"

I curved my lips in a declining manner, it spelled 'NOOOO...!!'

For real, I never tasted sushi before. The last time I had a close encounter with the delicacy was during my visit to Malacca in a school trip-that was eight years ago, when I was 13. I'm catching train #21 this year, so that makes it eight years ago. The group of boys who grabbed a taste of sushis in Mahkota Parade yelled near the bus; and it went like this:

"THAT'LL BE THE LAST TIME I'D EVER GO NEAR A SUSHI!!!"

-which made me vow not to touch one.

But you see, fellows, as we grow older, we get braver. Please, do not get me wrong, I mean positive
ballon d'essais. Like savouring a sushi. I have been curling against it because the boys made me believe that it taste awful. But c'mon, why not give it a try? By the way, I don't know what type of sushi did they swallowed, and I don't even know if they were just teasing the others so that we won't go near. Realizing that I had pointed out reasons relevant to the present time, here I made a deal with Wida.

"Em..blh x cmni,ak rs skt, pastu klu ak x blh, ak bg ko. Blh x?"

"Boleh," was her confident reply. Together with a convincing nod. Yeah, she didn't mind. We drink from each other's container so-the deal was fine.

What I had in mind was not to bite the food, it'd certainly be impolite to do so should I came unable to consume it. Considering, and half considering, we agreed to the deal in three seconds. Deal.

I followed her into Jusco, where I thought sushi lovers would call it heaven of sushis. There, Wida showed me around, pointed me several different types of sushis-this and that, here and there-that's were I saw interesting ones like this one below;

Lotus shaped, plus cucumber and if I'm not mistaken crabs, (I'm a beginner who hardly recognize without the help of my addicted friend Wida,)

...and finally picked one out of the thirty times dozens of them sushis! I picked out 'grilled salmon' which appealed to my eyes as a favourable start for I still can't take raw fish down my throat, I'm yet to fit myself into it.

Wida got herself a complete, simple meal of sushi which combined
rice, unagi, egg and veges inside the cute red polystyrene container;

...and I got myself a cute grilled salmon sushi-wrapped together in the seaweed was salmon+lemon topped rice-which cost me RM 1.00. Aw can you just believe it? I never thought that there's such food priced RM 1.00! There was the time when Nasi Lemak cost us RM 1.00, but that was way long ago, so long ago I was still a non-stop babbling little child running up and down the house making noises and playing around. That was long ago. If we are to find another stall that sells Nasi Lemak for RM 1.00, I'd cry the tears of joy.

Okay, this is why. The allowance isn't in yet. So I became a super saver. I am Mr. Eugene Krabs now! :)

The sushi. Obvious to be my first experience. What I did was killing the time, and unsure of a reason why I should anyway. No one would eat my sushi until I got a bit of it, made a deal.

This is the sauce. Soy sauce plus wasabi. Wait whaaaat? W-a-s-a-b-i...?

"Alamak," I said to Wida, pointing to the green thing she pressed out of a packet. "Tu wasabi kan?"

"Ha'ah,"

There you go...

But I took it a challenge to myself, and it'd be a shame to back off then. I said okay, dipped a bit of the sushi into the sauce, put it into my mouth and........

...ah.

"Cemane rase die?"

I was silent.

The other three in front of me stared and analyzed my expression.

"Ok," I started to giggle.

"Nape muke Hystrix lain?"
asked Su.

"Rase mcm petrol!"

I laughed of the weird taste, which I didn't expect. How would it turn to taste like car's fuel?? Supposed to be hot, but it wasn't! It tasted like, like...

Petrol!

Uh, fine.

Wida laughed hard at the awkwardness I exhibited by the look on my face, but it didn't matter! I tasted sushi and it's not that awful really! It just gave you a bit of fusion, take it an alternative to daily meal in campus, shall we?

THIS, is the person responsible for making me challenge myself. Wida the sushi lover! ;)

Me, still standing after the challenge.

Good time together, from left; Pelangi Malam, Nadia, Su, Wida, and me.

Near the entrance. QB decorated its central court with the theme of Retro CNY, which I find very attractive.

Too bad I failed to snap a view of the main stage, depicting a 70's post independence Malayan town because there was this break dance battle of the same retro concept. Too crowded, yet it is a splendid idea! The trishaw at the entrance, the one behind Wida in the earlier photo's one of the attraction. At 8, we're already waiting for the bus to campus.

"Ak ajo ko mkn tempe, ko ajo ak mkn sushi ye?"

"Hehe!"

I nod my head upon saying that I had a wonderful time indeed. I hope they did too! :)

-Here this post on sushi ends.-

01:57 a.m.

(What's this fire drill all about? I was about to finish my last sentence and sleep, but the alarm sent everyone out the room looking blur. Except me, the midnight blogger. Went out in my black jacket, looked down to the parking area to see no one gathering for roll call or anything irrelevant at this dead of night and...nothing. Back to my room to add a little bit more to this post as a closure. Earlier there were screams, the allowance is in, said Waniey, and now fire alarm. For nothing. Who played with it?)

Now I'm going to sleep, with the hope not to hear anything more but my alarm tone in a few hours time, hope so!

So good day pal, rise and shine, for tomorrow is today! :D

p/s: Yeah. We'll see if it's true that the allowance's in next morning. Good thing. Wida and me really need a good night sleep now, we'll be driving around to schools tomorrow for the field work, together with Jujue and Nadia. May He ease us for this first task, amin! Best wishes to you too! ;)

Sunny Morning,Lead Me Back to You.

Merry as the day is long.
-Much Ado About Nothing

Salam.

Well my tank screamed for I had left it unfed last night-the last heavy meal I had was at around 11 am for lunch right after class and that's that. In the evening I had a bun and at night another bun plus a packed drink for dinner. Woke up and there it goes..! I'm hungry.

I thought of taking a photo of what I'm having for breakfast now,but I couldn't. It's finished. Hehe. I told you I'm freakin' hungry, pal. Yes, that's in present tense.

So,in the previous post was a brief catch up on the current happenings in campus but that's not all. I got a plenty more of updates to share with ya friends and here it is.

The cohort will probably be one busy hive of buzzing bees-as we are all well known to be. But dear, we'll be even more active kids this year. Thanks to the fresh new ideas from the committee. (We TESOL 3 tried organizing a bloggers' award night but it turned out that this year would give us more time and helping hands on it. With the leader announcing a new club for the bloggers, I feel that we can make it a reality.) Let's step on it, real soon. :)

So as for me, I got the post of Ketua Kebersihan (Head of Cleanliness?)for 1 TESOL 3 (we're TESOL now that we're in our degree year) with Thoyba Mursyidah as my team mate and...the moderator for Bloggers Meet club (for all the bloggers though not all claimed membership), and the assistant for cohort dinner, Zalia my leader. That three, excluding another minor ones as the leader for HD group and unofficial transportation crew (love this job) for Philosophy (join ventured with Julia and Wahida of another team,) and I'm looking forward to it all.

I'll only be present in the campus with a transport after I get back from Aussie. That in mind, study hard, Hystrix!

This semester, we already had a number of assignments which are set to be submitted in the 8th week being briefed about in the 2nd week-and those assignments are made up of several interviews, one task of interviewing English teachers with ten years of teaching experience, then primary kids on their English proficiencies (stages of conducting the interview, read on please); recording and typing out data plus analyzing them, and discussions, all sorts of other jobs which require appropriate working time lines submitted to the lecturers and sessions of tutorial hours dedicated to checking the questions we had on our papers to be asked to the respondents and... I think that was such a long sentence. If I were to say it out instead of typing, I'd be out of breath.

(Literature-wise, the length of a sentence describes what you mean well. The effect of it.)

Well I'm no longer a literature student, I left the room of literature-blood-pumped energetic students into the open arms of Science. I embraced it. I was a Science student for years of running down the school corridors and climbing up the UKM stairs and dissection sessions and then I'm here in Penang, doing TESL. I do not know. You're going to ask me why I ended up here?

My answer had always been a consistent-"It's His fate." I've done moderately well in medical laboratories, scared the heck out of myself dissecting a cadaver's leg and the offer came. I have no idea why I ended up here, but I depend 50% on my instinct and another 50% on my judgment. Which is not always precise because I have blood running in my veins-I'm sheer human-but they seldom fail me, provided that I spent ample time of deep thinking. Not snoring, yeah? Yer cheeky pal.

Decision made, I am again a Science student for I chose the subject as a minor to be carried along in my left arm and English-a full load of them on my right, running alongside these fellows of mine. Oh, and yes, we do have assignments for Science too. Shoebox kit, which I regard as an interesting one. Can't wait for it!

Second weekend, a bright signal to gallop all the way, well let us have a go!

All summed up, the new semester has a lot to give away. I'm looking up, I'm looking straight. Feel my steps, call me when I stop. Hold me when I seem to fall. Dear Creator, I'm doing this with my will. I am. Ease our journeys with you blessings, amin...

Dear pals, this will be followed with less current catch-ups I suppose, I'll be busy around with life here. But I'll try my very best to post up some easy poems, most importantly a remake of the 2009 Re-cap post (requested) and a tag or two, perhaps. What I hope, now, is-to run a happy marathon and for you all of my friends to run beside me and laugh together with me. And that He will guide us through hard times, okay? Let's make this together. Make way for the challenges ahead. No tricks, we're in the same force fighting for success. Bless us all.

Best days ahead, fellows! :)

Hello wonders!

All the world's a stage
-As You Like It.

Salam.

Then came 2010, after the fun-filled 2009 as well as all of useful lessons it taught us all. Alhamdulillah, with His guidance and blessings each of us made it through and here we are now, in the first year of our degree programme after competing one and a half year of foundation course.

I apologize for not giving a peek at my own place, which caused some of my dear friends a bit waste of time dropping by not to see any updates served, and how it had became a great remorse of mine for that's very rare of me to leave the place quiet for over a week now. So again, your forgiveness is what I long for, since the first week (and this week too) have been a bit cheeky driving me-nope, in fact us all; up the wall.

Despite the event, I found that the weeks have been cool too. We got our results posted up the board (so everyone can memorize each other's grade and let aloud a surreptitious satisfactory "yes!" a few steps away upon leaving the SUP foyer) Aw, disgracefull. Mine is half past satisfactory-I regard mine as a very humble achievement, and that more can be done in future for improvement but yes, I am grateful to be given such a wonderful and precious year to learn and apply what had been learn in life wherever applicable. (Um,d'ya notice something? There's something I wish I won't need to see round here by the way. It would be great if blogger allows the use of Br.E. with peace without marking a word with red waves under it after a couple of sentence written.

Back here, I'm sorry. :)

I got a moderate point so then again, my parents are both happy with it and they said that with all the obstacles He had in store for us all as one whole family, the pain and effort are well paid off. For dearest late grandma, this is for you. You know, there's nothing more special I can present you and mother with, but this. My warmest love through the air, may you rest in His blessings, amin. And my dear parents, thank you for without your never-ending motivations and trust in me, I couldn't have done it. Allah bless you both too. :)

Uhum. With that announced, we are now officially entering the fist year of our B. Ed. TESL programme.

And the subjects are far distinct from the ones we had in foundation. I'm telling you, so far none of them faild to impress and delight me. There are;

Philosophy
Linguistics
Science
Bahasa Melayu
Human Development
and...

me. Hehe.

Heroes don't die.

Everyone seems to be you,and you seem to me just-everyone. What are we?
-Phyto Hystrix,inspired from CB.

Salam.

I'm in search of my true self. And most probably, you are;too.

Well we watch movies,we watch superheroes in action. Yeah,in the movies at least,if not in real life. But hold on a moment. Is there any in real life?

Uhm,I'd like to think that there are,I believe so. Heroes to me, are

-those who in hard times cry not an utter of surrender. (Who knows not a companion by the name ' That's it,I give up.')

-those who all his lives are afraid not to face his own fear, or agony. (Who aren't afraid of sufferings. You name it,and whatever it could be,it's life. And we grow strong through it.)

-those who live but to learn not only from victories, but defeats. (What's there to learn about when one never does mistakes?)

-those who live life, and really know what life is, to name pride a figure so huge the sum is; that life itself as a whole became priceless (That is to give and to accept with open arm and open heart.)

Heroes do exist in real life. They live and never fall-if standing up again every time after falling down does not count a failure, how can they possibly fall?

They stand proud, if pride itself stands a definition not everyone see thoroughly but them.

Rain or Storm-Keep Going Strong.

Salam.

When the eclipse end,let it shine upon us a new hope, for me myself an inspiration, mark the dawn of a new cliche from each day that passes. May the Moon usher the new Sun out from behind the dark skies, the silky veil of clouds,my shelter from the storm.

May 2010 opens a new chapter for all of us towards progressive, never ending improvement. May it be filled with Allah's blessings upon us,may He open our eyes to every magic that lies before us,may he give us that ability to see, thus not only to gaze, but to think and treasure,to think and ponder,to think and consider-chances that come, opportunities that knock, and dreams that aspire,His every creation that awes.

May the new year be not just an addition to the number of years,a growing count every 365 days-but in every way be the key for the door to realization,a continuous transformation. We have grown this old,and will continue to grow through joy and pain-each one of it a reason for us to live this life (every second of it a miracle) and feed our souls with enforced faith and understanding of why we are actually given this chance to be born into the world. To search for answers to every mysteries that lie beneath life itself,to walk the journey of self discovery,to succeed in the very end. Not only an increase of age will this new year signify, but an ascending of wisdom and wit.

Again,my best wishes for us all,my dear fellows and our families too. Changes,as little as it can be,starts always from the core of one's willing heart. Let us keep our faiths strong and pray for His guidance now and forever;for nothing more powerful stands as a defense but His assistance in this battle of ours.

I held my tsurugi up strong, and will never rest it down, rain or storm. As shiny is my blade,as strong is my will.

A blessed year ahead,by His will may our strength remain in our hearts. Amin.
